Potential Marshals please see the Marshals page

Although we look as if we have a full entry still do put an entry in if you haven't already done so. In previous years all our reserves have got a run on the day.

One driver to secure a place on the event is Jon Wright who generously donated 1,000 to the Henry Surtees Foundation. The Henry Surtees Foundation was founded by motor sport legend John Surtees CBE, following the tragic death of his son Henry, killed aged just 18 years old whilst competing in Formula 2 race at Brands Hatch in 2009. Their primary objectives are to assist people with brain or physical injuries caused by an accident to return to community living by the provision of support for equipment and facilities. They also seek to provide education and training associated with motorsport-related programmes in technology, engineering, and road safety instruction for two and four wheels.

For the event Jon has been loaned a Lancia Fulvia, and has Andy Pullan navigating for him. It will be Jon's first regularity rally, but he does have experience on hillclimbs and sprints, so should be ok on the tests. It will be interesting to see if Andy can tame Jon's right foot on the regularity sections.

The route is looking a bit wet and very muddy, but its all passable in a classic Mini! I've moved a couple of the controls, so the marshals are not knee deep in mud and they won't need a tow out.

The enormous task of PRing the regularity sections was concluded today - over 1,200 properties (and I try my best to avoid roads with properties on them!) and so far, no route changes needed. The vast majority of the locals are looking forward to seeing the cars on 3 March.

If you are coming to help marshal, or thinking about it, we have a pre-event briefing and marshals night (no competitors invited!) at the Bulls Head, Davenham on Monday 12 February at 8pm.

Finally, if you haven't already done so, don't forget to get your MSA licences - which are needed by both crew members.
